AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY

TOM MCCAUGHREN has been a journalist and broadcaster in Ireland for many years. He is the author of 16 books, including The Peacemakers of Niemba, a documentary account of the massacre of nine Irish-UN soldiers in the Congo in 1960. Two of his books for teenagers are set in the Rebellion of the United Irishmen in 1798, another on the border during the Provisional IRA campaign in Northern Ireland. His Run with the Wind series of wildlife novels featuring the fox and other animals became best sellers. His books have been translated into many languages and have won several awards for literature. His 17th book, The Whitethorn of the Dancing, is an adult novel.
